VI Wins the Oklahoma State Department of Health Account
VI Marketing and Branding has landed the agency of record contract with the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) effective February 2019.
“OSDH is excited to work with VI to inform the public about ways to improve their health," says Tony Sellars, OSDH Director of Communications. "Using their experience and resources to pinpoint our message to target audiences will allow us to reach the right people and provide more effective public health services.”
VI and OSDH have been partnering on health communication efforts since 2007 and the agency is excited to continue this valuable relationship.

"The work that we have done with immunizations, breastfeeding and HIV awareness, among many other efforts, has changed behaviors in our state. Our behavior change team is considered to be among the best in the country in public health communications, leading the pack in behavior change marketing."
VI and OSDH have worked together on many public health issues that impact the lives of Oklahomans. For example, the Preparing for a Lifetime initiative has helped decrease the infant mortality rate in the state of Oklahoma by educating mothers and women of child-bearing age on healthy behaviors for themselves and their children. Other campaigns include the partnership between VI and OSDH to impact HIV testing and treatment, to increase the number of Oklahomans who receive flu shots, to decrease obesity and to reduce smoking prevalence. Both OSDH and VI have educated thousands of Oklahomans on Zika, the need for safe sex practices, opioid addiction and many other causes.

VI and OSDH will continue the focus on an array of public health issues in the near future including its first project focusing on opioid education in the state of Oklahoma.
